Refresh Jonesboro

Last night’s “space adventure” planning meeting was a success! We were able to establish a shopping list, a budget and set a date for the build night. Here’s the details:

Financials

We have determined that the estimated budget is $250, so as of now, the amount needed from each crew member is $25. We will need this amount in hand from anyone who wants to participate by Friday, October 9th. You can drop your money into the Jonesboro Coworking mailbox at 106 Cate Street. Please include your name with your funds so that we can account for all crew members. Once the funds have been acquired, we will order all supplies.

Build Night

The build night has been set for Monday, October 19th from 7pm to 9pm. On this night we will prepare the payload container, load the camera with the firmware, setup the GPS phone applications and prepare for testing of the landing gear and all hardware. Once the hardware and landing gear has been tested we will choose a launch date and location in the very near future. We have to prepare our launch plans within two days of launching for accurate predictions of wind speed and travel distance.

Any funds which are left over from this launch will be used for a second launch.

Couldn’t make it to the planning meeting? Fear not! It’s not too late to get involved. Drop your money by Jonesboro Coworking and plan on attending the build night. We understand that conflicts in schedule may prevent you from attending every meeting for the project. That’s not a problem at all. We’d like to have as many able-bodied men and women on board. ;)
